Only one picture from a Long Day of Driving. It took 5.5 hours of driving to get to Alpine Wyoming. The trip went through Yellowstone National Park, although not very scenic as it circled Yellowstone Lake. I got into Alpine, exhausted. After buying Windex for my windshield at an Ace Hardware (Yes, that is how exciting today was), I headed up Grey’s River Road to a campsite along the Grey’s River, in the hopes of catching a Snake River Cutthroat. Oh yeah, my air conditioning blew up when I was in Yellowstone. But, today was still a good day!
It was hard finding a campground when there is no cell signal. After turning around several times to see if I missed a road marker, I eventually made it into the Murphy Creek Campground around sunset. My first paid night of sleep. Five dollars with my America the Beautiful Senior Pass. However, the beautiful river in the picture above was right by my campsite. All is good.
