So, I just said “What the Heck!” and drove 5 hours to Whitehorse in the Yukon. I am 875 miles along the 1300 – 1400 mile Alcan Highway, and 2283 miles from home. It was a nice road trip, and ALL the rivers and creeks I saw today, in the Yukon, were clear and fishable. I am in a comfy hotel as I’ve finished my road trip portion of this adventure. Tomorrow, I’ll drive up the Alcan Highway to the first campground with fishable water, and start fishing and camping. I plan to be in Anchorage in 39 days, with plenty of time to fish wherever I can in the Yukon and Alaska until I arrive in Anchorage.
My friend Don just told me that butterflies are okay, but he wants pictures of fish. So Do I!!! Fishing trip starts tomorrow.
Tight Lines!
