And So my trip is just a day away, starting tomorrow morning. I’ve finished packing my clothes into the van and now am just throwing last minute things into the 3 square feet of floor space not covered. There is one new device I’m excited about, the new GoPro 10.
Several years ago I purchased an Insta360 One R camera for my bike trip. It has an overheating problem and I followed instructions to remedy that problem. However, I found that the new GoPro Hero 10 has two magnificent features not found in the One R: 1) Automatic horizon leveling (OneR may have this). As one moves around, the horizon stays level up to 45 degrees; and 2) It has HindSight. The camera continually records into a buffer. When the operator hits the record button (or uses a voice command), the camera keeps the buffered content and starts adding to it. The buffer can be set to 15 or 30 seconds. Since the strike is the most exciting part of fishing, one can catch a fish, hit the record button, and have the strike / hookup recorded.
Pretty cool!!! I look forward to adding video contact to this blog, and to my Youtube channel.
