Evidently, at some time in the past I decided to tie up many variations of size 16 Pheasant Tail and Hare’s Ear nymphs. For some reason I tied some of them in groups of 9 instead of 12. I have no idea why, probably to get them done faster and having something to fish with.
So, starting from the top left: Flashback Pheasant Tails, Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tails, Plain Black Hare’s Ear with tails, Plain Black Hare’s Ear without tails, Plain Black Hare’s Ear with Tail and Bead.
Starting from the top right: Psycho Pheasant Tails with multicolored beadheads (can’t remember the actual name of the fly…..found in online video), Black Beadhead Pheasant Tails, Beadhead Plain Hares Ear, Beadhead Hare’s Ear with Shellback, and Plain Hare’s Ear.
I am loaded for bear (or trout) if size 16 is what the fish are taking on the lake or stream. It was a nice find in my maze of fly tying material boxes (boxes holding materials, not boxes made from materials lol). See you on the water.
