And so it begins. My main project is to unpack all of my boxes and sort the contents into keep, trash, donate, and sell piles. Of course this project could and possibly will take years.
But what about a project that is more fun. That is my goal for this winter. The Streamline guide to the Trinity River shows 103 locations on the Trinity river for anglers to access the river and fish. The locations start at the mouth of the Trinity River at Weitchpec and end at the Lewiston Dam. I plan to fish all, or as many as I can, of the locations referenced in the guide. I will photograph the locations and describe my success fishing at the location.
I do not and have never worked for Streamline Guides. I have not received any compensation or benefits from Streamline Guides. I also don’t want to break copyright laws so I’ll denote the numbered location I’m documenting, referenced to the guide.
Of course I’ll start fishing each day where I think where in the river the fish are concentrated. However, Jim Freeman, an outdoors writer for the SF Chronicle in the 60’s and 70’s stated that if one doesn’t start hooking fish in 20 to 30 minutes, then one should move to another location where fish may be more active, or at least present.
So. I’ve dreamed all of my life of living full time in a great fishing area. I am now living in a fishing and outdoors paradise. I plan to enjoy and document my time in this paradise!
